Make Distilled Water

When we make Distilled Water, we start with a very high purity Deionized Water that we produce using our own on-site deionization plant. This ensures that the ‘raw material’ we use is of the very highest quality.  We then gently heat the Deionized Water until it boils.  As the Deionized Water boils, it produces water vapour or steam.  This is collected in another vessel, cooled and as it cools it condenses and returns to a liquid state.  This cooled liquid is called Distilled Water.

The actual water distillation process is completely natural and relies on no chemicals, additives or preservatives to produce high quality water with virtually no contaminants.  Tap Water can often contain traces of minerals, elements and heavy metals.  Distilled Water, on the other hand, contains almost none of these impurities and is the ideal water of choice for many industrial processes and laboratory applications.

Also ordinary Tap Water can vary in quality whereas when we make Distilled Water, it is consistent in its level of purity.  Tap Water often has other chemicals or additives contained in it.  For example, Fluoride is often added to Tap Water.  Distilled Water contains virtually none of these contaminants and its purity renders it essential when using AA or HPLC equipment in the lab, in cooling systems in the automotive industry, as a ‘top up’ in lead-acid batteries and in the process of enamelling.
